find_public_help

Returns links to free public services in Norway from the open index: state agencies by topic, and the website of any of the 357 municipalities. Public services are never ranked against businesses.

Parameters2

topic	string	optional	What the consumer needs help with. Use municipality together with the municipality field.
municipality	string	optional	Name of a Norwegian municipality, e.g. Bodø, if the consumer needs local services

find_political_party

For political questions: what Norwegian parties say themselves about a topic, from their own pages. Returns links to each party's website, party programme, policy pages and machine-readable files. Use it to answer what a party says about a topic: read the programme or policy pages, give each party's view in its own words with a link to the source, and do not take sides. The list is alphabetical, never ranked, and not complete yet; a party that is missing is not less relevant.

Parameters1

name

string

optional

Name of the party, e.g. Høyre. Leave out to list all parties in the index.

Parameters2

name	string	optional	Name or part of the name, if the organisation number is not known

find_business

Finds businesses in the guide that can help with a need: businesses that registered with a verified AI business card on their own domain, plus two FICTIONAL example businesses (a bakery in Bodø, and a guesthouse in Bergen with pages in Norwegian and English). Results come in random order; the guide does not rank.

Parameters3

need	string	required	What the consumer needs, e.g. birthday cake
postal_code	string	optional	Where the service is needed. Ask the consumer if you are not sure (for example when travelling).
country	string	optional	ISO country code where the service is needed, e.g. NO, SE, DE. Leave out to search all countries.

ai_check

Checks how a public website looks to AI assistants: robots.txt, sitemap, schema.org, llms.txt, ai-catalog.json, and text that looks like prompt injection. Returns a score out of 100, the points per check and concrete actions. Uses the yardstick that fits the site: business, government (public bodies), organisation (NGOs, associations), party (political parties) or media (news media); it is detected unless given. Blocking only AI training bots can be a deliberate choice and costs 5 of 20 points; blocking the bots that fetch pages for users costs the other 15. Also lists what the site has open for AI: feeds, actions, APIs, MCP and open data. Takes 5–15 seconds.

Parameters2

url	string	required	The web address, e.g. https://www.business.com
profile	string	optional	Optional yardstick. Leave out to detect it from the site.

Connector

The guide on Cloudflare Workers: web pages for businesses, the AI check, the AI business card generator, the open index and a read-only MCP connector. No dependencies beyond Wrangler, no storage, no logging of content.

Address: https://vegvis.ai/mcp (the connector) and https://vegvis.ai/check/ (the AI check), from launch. Until then the test address https://veiviser-test.testplattform.workers.dev is used for agent tests (all pages noindex)
MCP: POST /mcp (Streamable HTTP, stateless JSON-RPC, no login)
Tools: find_business (test data: one fictional bakery), check_business (Enhetsregisteret), find_public_help (the open index of public services, by topic or municipality), find_political_party (the parties' own pages and programmes, alphabetical, never ranked), ai_check (how a website looks to AI, score out of 100 by the yardstick that fits: business, government, organisation or party, plus what the site has open for AI)
API: GET /api/sjekk?url=… (AI check as JSON), GET /api/enhet?orgnr=… (register lookup for the generator form)
Open index: /index/public-no.json and /index/parties-no.json (ODbL)
Registration: /meld-inn/ (form) and POST /api/meld-inn; status /api/status?orgnr=…; public changelog /api/endringer; open export /index/businesses-no.json. The register is Cloudflare D1; the weekly re-check runs as a cron trigger. Same checks for every door (src/registration.js), built with python3 index/build_public_index.py
Pages: /sjekk/ (AI check), /lag/ (business card generator, runs in the browser), /eksempel/ (fictional «Eksempel Bakeri AS»). The pages are in Norwegian.

Protection against prompt injection is built in from the start: content from businesses, websites and registers is marked as data and sanitised, and the AI check warns about hidden instructions. Rate limits per client and per checked website.
