JSON contract registry and validator for structured LLM and agent outputs.

JSON Contracts MCP Server

JSON Contracts is a local Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for natural-language-to-JSON workflows. It provides agents Git-controlled JSON contracts, rules, examples, and JSON Schema validation tools, enabling reliable conversion of requests into schema-valid JSON. The server itself does not call any LLM provider and does not generate JSON.

🛠️ Key Features

  • JSON contract registry for structured LLM and agent outputs
  • Git-controlled contracts with rules and examples
  • JSON Schema validation tools
  • Local MCP server for natural-language-to-JSON workflows
  • Does not call an LLM provider
  • No API keys required

🚀 Use Cases

  • Converting natural-language requests into schema-valid JSON for agents
  • Enforcing JSON Schema validation during structured output generation
  • Supporting structured output workflows using JSON contracts

⚡ Developer Benefits

  • Consistent contract and schema validation for agent outputs
  • Works without LLM provider calls, API keys, or external orchestration
  • Does not rely on BAML, LangChain, Markdown, a DSL, or MCP sampling

⚠️ Limitations

  • Does not generate JSON by itself
  • No integrated “Studio” functionality included in the server; Studio is a separate package/repo for live demos
