Lists every blockchain currency PayRam supports on this node (chain code, network, currency code). Public endpoint — works with only PAYRAM_BASE_URL set, no API key or JWT required. Use this to discover valid blockchainCode/currencyCode values before creating payments or payouts.

list_recipients

Lists saved withdrawal recipients (payout beneficiaries). Use this to find a recipient ID for the 3-step payout flow, or to check whether a beneficiary is already OTP-verified (status "active") before creating a payout.

create_payment_link

Creates a PayRam checkout (payment) link and returns the hosted URL plus a reference_id. Authenticates with the Merchant API-Key (set PAYRAM_API_KEY). This WRITES — it creates a real payment request. The customer chooses the chain/currency on the hosted checkout. Poll status later with lookup_payment (or GET /api/v1/payment/reference/{reference_id}).

check_node_sync

Per-chain node health verdict: healthy / lagging / unreachable / listener-down. Computes how old each RPC node’s last block is — any non-BTC chain older than 10 minutes (BTC: 90 minutes, since BTC blocks every ~10m) is flagged as lagging or not syncing. Also checks the chain’s listener worker. When something is wrong it names the exact remediation (usually restart_payram_worker). Read-only — run this first; restart second; re-run this ~60s after a restart to confirm recovery.

restart_payram_worker

REMEDIATION ACTION (write): restarts a blockchain listener worker via supervisor — the minimal fix when check_node_sync reports a chain as lagging or listener-down. Workflow: run check_node_sync first → restart the named worker → wait ~60s → run check_node_sync again to confirm recovery. A restart does NOT fix an unreachable RPC (fix the RPC config in the dashboard instead). Requires admin JWT with write_system_settings.

What is PayRam? · PayRam 是什么？

PayRam is a self-hosted, multi-chain crypto payment gateway you own outright — with no signup and no KYC/KYB to run it. An AI agent (or a developer) can stand up a store and start accepting payments without registering an account with PayRam, a bank, or any payment processor. Deploy on your own VPS in ~10 minutes, generate API keys locally, go live.

What makes it different:

Permissionless setup — no signup, no KYC, no KYB. Nobody approves you; nobody can switch you off. Ideal for agents spinning up stores autonomously, and for markets like China where registering with a Western processor isn't an option.
Card-to-crypto checkout — shoppers without crypto can pay with a credit/debit card and you receive crypto, settled straight into your self-custodied wallet. A built-in channel you switch on from the Payments page — no extra processor to sign up with.
Multi-chain — accept BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, and TRX across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Base, Polygon, and Tron, with automatic deposit detection, on-chain confirmation, sweeps to cold storage, and webhooks.
Self-custody by design — deposit wallet keys are never stored on the server. Fund movement is enforced on-chain by smart contracts with hardcoded cold-wallet destinations, so a full server compromise yields zero spendable funds. An agent can run the whole stack without ever holding a private key.

Tip: When you tell Copilot "test payram" it will automatically run the readiness checklist, ensure .env exists, and only then call test_payram_connection with your real credentials. The behavior is defined by the Copilot automation prompt—no manual prompting required.

Guided Workflows

1. Assess and Retrofit an Existing Project

Ask Copilot: "Can you integrate PayRam into this project?"
The assistant runs assess_payram_project, reviewing dependency manifests and .env.
Follow the recommended steps (install payram, request Express/FastAPI/Spring route snippets, add webhooks, etc.).
Use test_payram_connection once credentials are real to ensure the backend can reach your self-hosted server.

2. Scaffold a Fresh Sample

"Create a PayRam Express demo" → scaffold_payram_app builds an Express project with payments, payouts, webhooks, and a UI console.
Drop the generated files into an empty repo or compare against your existing directory for reference wiring.

3. Run the "Test PayRam" Readiness Flow

Say "test payram". The assistant automatically:
- Calls prepare_payram_test to share the readiness checklist.
- Ensures .env exists (creating it if missing) using generate_env_template.

Troubleshooting

Start with payram_doctor — one read-only call that walks reachability -> credentials -> readiness and returns ranked causes with exact fixes.

Copilot doesn’t call the right tool: Check the Copilot automation prompt is installed and your MCP client loaded the server. Re-run "test payram" or "assess my project" to trigger the expected automation.
test_payram_connection fails with 401: Confirm .env uses the API-Key header, not Authorization. The tool echoes the missing fields when placeholders are detected.
Docs tool says a file is missing: Verify your local docs/payram-docs-live/ tree contains the requested markdown (get_payram_doc_by_id rejects paths with ..).
Server won’t start: Check .env for PAYRAM_BASE_URL/PAYRAM_API_KEY, ensure Node 18+, and run yarn install to grab the MCP SDK.

For anything else, inspect the structured logs emitted from src/utils/logger.ts (set LOG_LEVEL=debug) and open an issue/PR with reproduction details.
