Claude Desktop bundle: the .mcpb launches on macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), Windows x64 and Linux x64. Every tool shells out to the companion pipedrive-cli. Releases cut from 2026-09-18 on ship that CLI inside the bundle; older bundles contain only the MCP server, so if yours lacks the companion, run the Path A or Path B installer below first (or set PIPEDRIVE_CLI_PATH to an existing binary). What makes this different
Most Pipedrive integrations and MCP servers proxy each question into a live API call. That's fine for one record. It dies at scale, when you're asking "which open deals across every pipeline have gone quiet, ranked by the dollar value at risk" - a question no single API endpoint answers.
This skill syncs Pipedrive into a local SQLite mirror with full-text search. Aggregate questions become one local SQL join: instant, offline, and the AI sees the answer, not the raw data. Compound commands like stale, forecast, leaderboard, and who join across deals, persons, organizations, activities, and stages - work a stateless API wrapper can't do.
The pain this closes
Reporting is Pipedrive's single most-cited complaint across G2, Capterra, and Trustpilot (roundup). Insights covers the basics, but the cross-entity questions an owner asks at a Monday pipeline review - which deals are silently dying, what's the weighted forecast, which reps actually contribute, which deals are stuck - mean exporting to a spreadsheet and rebuilding the math. Meanwhile CRM data decays roughly 30% a year, so a deal nobody logged an activity against just sits there until it's already cold.

Frequently asked questions
Does this work with ChatGPT?
Yes, on Plus, Pro, Team, Business, Enterprise, and Education plans (Free tier does not yet expose Developer Mode). ChatGPT connects to remote MCP servers over HTTPS, not local stdio binaries. The Pipedrive MCP server runs locally, but it speaks HTTP natively: start it with pipedrive-mcp --transport http --addr :7777 and put it behind an HTTPS tunnel or your own reverse proxy. No bridge package is involved. Step-by-step in mcp-install.md.
Does this work with Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, Copilot, or Gemini?
Yes - all of them speak MCP. Cross-tool install commands are in the matrix above and the deep-dive in docs/which-agent.md.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. The recommended install is to paste one sentence into Claude Code or Codex - your agent reads SKILL.md and does the install. The fallback is a one-line installer per OS (bash or PowerShell). Neither path requires writing code. You'll enter your Pipedrive credentials once.
Is my Pipedrive data safe?
Your data stays on your machine. The CLI and MCP server are local binaries. The SQLite mirror sits in a directory under your user account. The AI agent only sees what the CLI returns - typically a query result, not raw bulk data. Credentials are read from your environment or your agent's config; never bundled into this repo or transmitted anywhere by MSP Skills.
Does this need a higher Pipedrive plan or the paid Insights tier?
No. Any Pipedrive plan that issues an API token works - find it under Settings > Personal preferences > API. The skill talks to the standard Pipedrive API, and the cross-entity analytics (stale, forecast, aging, leaderboard) run locally on your synced data, so they aren't gated behind a reporting add-on.
Will this burn through my Pipedrive API rate limits?
Day-to-day questions answer from the local mirror after a sync, so they make zero API calls. sync itself paginates politely - tune --rate-limit and --concurrency, and use --since 24h to refresh only what changed - and live calls only happen when local data is missing or stale.
Will this replace the Pipedrive portal?
No - it complements it. The portal stays your system of record and your reps' daily UI; this skill adds the cross-entity questions Insights doesn't answer, in your terminal or AI agent.
What does it cost?
Free. Apache-2.0 licensed. You pay only for whichever AI agent you use (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, etc.), and that's billed by your AI provider, not by us.

The strongest control is the scope you grant the Pipedrive credentials - the CLI can only do what the credentials are permitted to do. Full details, including how to lock it down, are in governance.md.
